Meet the team

I moved to York in February 2000 and have made it my home. I have a real passion for hair and love all things from big colour change ups and cuts, to subtle toners and trims. I love short hair and also work with a lot of curly haired clients, this is something I feel my client base has grown with over the last few years. I love everything that owning this salon brings, the special staff members I’ve met over the years and the fantastic clients that have graced my chair. I work hard to make sure that whether you are a new client, or one of my regular clients every appointment is your moment to feel special and have much deserved “you” time. Outside of the salon I am a mum to two fantastic kids and a huge gym junkie. Bit of a crazy fact about me is my love of country music it is my guilty pleasure. I also love quotes my favourite quote at the moment “Dance a little every morning before you leave the house, it changes the way you step out into the world.”

My name is Alex I’m the nail technician at this amazing salon. I specialise in biab, acrylic, gel nails, nail art, callus removal and henna brows. Anyone who knows me, knows I love the dark and wonderful world of gothic style and witchcraft, but please don’t let that put you off. I love to be creative and my style shows that. I have a vast array of skills when it comes to my nail designs, ranging from colours to French manicure to bespoke hand painted nail art. Hi, my name is Brooke. I am a trainee at Liberty and I love being in the hair and beauty industry, it is something I have dreamed of since i was little. I am passionate about hair and I love being creative, clients let me put those skills to use. I am growing in confidence in my hair skills, and I am always eager to learn more. Along with hair I also enjoy 60s, 80s and 90s music, I also really enjoy doing fun activities such as shopping and visiting friends. Hello, I’m Katie, and I have 30 years of experience in the beauty industry. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of salons and spas across the Leeds and York area, building a reputation for providing professional, caring treatments in a relaxing environment.

I offer therapeutic Swedish massage (please note I do not provide deep tissue massage), waxing treatments, and a range of personalised facials.

Facials are truly my passion. I use professional products from Katherine Daniels, a results-driven skincare brand known for delivering visible improvements while still feeling luxurious and soothing. I love helping my clients overcome skin concerns and regain confidence in their complexion — all while enjoying a deeply relaxing experience.

I strongly believe that you don’t need invasive treatments to achieve amazing results. With the right products, expert knowledge, and a tailored approach, healthy, glowing skin is achievable in a natural and nurturing way.
